PROJECT SUMMARY FOR 1999-LT-VX-K021 (S-9)
This project proposes to support NIJ/OST's participation in the Department of Defense's May 2003, Force Protection Equipment Demonstration (FPED) in Quantico, VA. NIJ/OST's participation in the FRED is geared to providing State and local public safety officials the opportunity to observe the latest in infrastructure security/force protection/counterrorism technology. These technologies are as applicable to school safety as they are to other public safety mission requirements, specifically in the areas of facility security and access control,bomb disposal and hostage rescue.
