National Institute of Justice Congressionally Directed Awards

This proposal is being submitted by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office Crime Laboratory as part of a program to renovate 4,931 square feet of existing laboratory space. The space that is being targeted for renovation has been occupied by the Crime Laboratory since 1984. Since then, case submission volume and staffing levels have increased beyond the functional capacity of the existing space. The goals of this project are (1) to increase the operational capacity of the crime laboratory, and (2) to improve the scope of the laboratory's compliance with ASCLD-LAB accreditation standards.
