Offender Transferred Pursuant to the Interstate Compact
Most state collection statutes require persons transferring under the interstate compact to provide a sample for DNA analysis. Therefore, the authority to collect the specimen exists, but the actual collection process may be challenging and cumbersome. This is particularly true if the person is no longer under supervision in the registering state.
