The Prosecution Phase - Trial

The trial phase can last from one day to several months. In cases involving DNA evidence, it is safe to assume the trial process will be lengthy. As criminal cases become more complex, the need for consistent and effective communication between all contributing parties escalates.

Communicating With Witnesses

Communication between the prosecutor and key witnesses must be well established by this phase of the process. The prosecution should communicate with investigators and laboratory personnel early and often, and communicate with individuals likely to appear in court.
