Description
NIJ is interested in secondary analysis that enhances understanding of crime and informs criminal justice policy and practice in the United States. Research proposals should seek to reproduce, replicate, or extend previous findings and conduct original research extending data from the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data (NACJD). NIJ is particularly interested in NACJD data, but will consider data from other sources. Preference will be given to research that asks compelling crime and justice questions rather than research that merely furthers statistical methods or technical refinement of data sets. All data files resulting from Data Resources Program (DRP) grants must be added to NACJD, regardless of their source. For Fiscal Year (FY) 2010, NIJ is particularly interested in sentencing and other federal criminal case analysis.
