The Nassau County forensic laboratory proposes to maintain the case turnaround time and backlog at acceptable levels. The primary goal for this project is to purchase an automated extraction robot. To help maintain the test-all policy for property crime evidence and mandated test-all policy for sexual assault kits, the laboratory proposes the purchase of supplies for DNA analysis, equipment, software upgrades, and to support personnel overtime to address the technical and administrative case review backlog.
