Improving Efficiency Through Updating Physical Infrastructure

The Allegheny County Office of the Medical Examiner will incorporate lessons learned from Lean Six Sigma to improve its laboratory workflow. By updating antiquated processing workflow, redesigning the current laboratory space by combining rooms, changing the layout and enhancing the level of security to match other areas of the Laboratory, ACOME hopes to increase efficiency and at the same time increase security in its laboratory.
