The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is pleased to invite poster submissions for the 2024 NIJ Research Conference, which will take place on September 16 – 18, 2024, in Pittsburgh, PA. The conference theme is “Advancing Justice Through Science” Our goal is to bring researchers, practitioners, and policymakers together to discuss current research and how findings can be implemented to promote safety, equity, and justice for all.
The poster session offers an opportunity to present research findings with particular emphasis on implications for policy and practice across a wide array of topics relating to public safety and the justice system. Submissions are not restricted to NIJ grantees. We particularly invite students to submit abstracts for consideration. Those submitting abstracts for consideration should make note of the following:
- Submissions are due Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
- Poster space is limited; priority will be given to students.
- Posters must focus on current issues and/or innovative methods that have an impact on the criminal or juvenile justice system in the United States and may involve social, behavioral, or forensic sciences; technology; and/or engineering.
- Given the conference theme of “Advancing Justice Through Science,” NIJ will prioritize submissions that describe research implications that promote safety, equity, and justice for all.
