This award will provide the funding for The University of Texas at Dallas to develop a study that contributes further to our understanding of violence by exploring the relationship between the onset of various DSM-oriented (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) mental health problems as predictors of criminal offending in children and adolescents participating in the Project on Human Development in Chicago Neighborhoods (PHDCN) study. The University of Texas at Dallas will oversee the evaluation, process documentation, and dissemination activities.
